ATTENDANCE
Regular school attendance is expected. The Class Teacher will keep a record of each student’s daily attendance which includes the time of arrival at school, whole/partial absences and any events of truancy. Teachers will check this information and contact parents regarding unexplained absences from school or frequent late arrival at school. It is the responsibility of students, who are late or absent, to find out what work they have missed out on and to catch up with their work in their own time.
ABSENCE
If a student is going to be away from school the parents are required contact the school, advise the reason for any absences. If a student has been absent, when thy return to school they should bring a signed slip explaining the details for the absence/s.
- The absence slips are placed at the back of the school diary, which should be signed by the parent/guardian.

- legitimate reason can mean a doctor’s certificate or an approved Student Long Term Absence Request Form for going overseas.
SICKNESS
If a student becomes ill or is injured during the school day and is unable to continue with the normal daily school programme, the student is reqired to report to the school officey.

- In the case of a medical emergency, an ambulance will be called and students will be taken to the nearest hospital. Every attempt will be made to contact the parent/guardian. If an ambulance is called for a student, the responsibility for any costs rests with the parents/guardians and not the School.
